1 Year Anniversary On WordPress (+Blog Analytics)

Hello People!

This is a post that I have been wanting to make for a long while and thought that this would be the best occasion to do it.

I have reached another milestone in my blogging journey where I have reached my 1 Year Anniversary here on WordPress! I also want to take the time to share all the badges (basically statistics) that WordPress has given me and a few things I learned along the way.

1 Year of Blogging

First of all, thank you so much for all the people that have been supporting me along the way and your comments on my blog are one of the key reasons to achieve this milestone.

I never even imagined that I would hit a full year of blogging.

Actually, I didn’t even understand what blogging truly meant when I started this, but I have learned a lot this past year along with taking inspiration from all of your blogs as well.

My Badges

Let’s cut to the chase!

I have posted images of most of the badges that I have saved (yea…I have been planning for months to write this post 😝)

I think I missed some of the earlier badges, but I think I got most of them down!

I wrote a blog post on why I purposely broke this 105 streak. I have put the link down below if you wish to know why 👇

What’s My Lesson For New Bloggers?

Effort comes before Results

I started sometime around February & March, but you might have realized that I got my 50 followers in June.

I blogged consistently during those months but didn’t get much traffic. It just takes time. Some more than others!

If you are someone that is crazy about views & followers, make sure to do research on SEO Optimization so that you know how to bring traffic to your site.

The WordPress Community is also great! You create great connections with lots of people and learn a lot from their posts!

Also, you might have noticed that most of my badges came from June or July. This was the time when I began to get lots of traffic but was also the time that I broke my streak.

I went ghost mode for a while due to college applications and this affected my flow of blogging 😞

Be Unique & True to Yourself

Blogging is a place where people share their thoughts or opinions on certain things. Other people take it as a place for story writing or poems.

Whatever you do, do it because you truly like it and it resembles who you are as a person.

If you are comfortable, it’s best to say your name or write a bio post in the beginning so that people know you as a person.

I kinda regret not doing this earlier cuz people didn’t know my name and I decided to write one for my 100th blog post (link down below 👇)

Blogging is NOT DEAD!

I found this statement on the internet during my early days of blogging and this is just simply not true.

Many websites you go online are actually blogs and there are so many ways to monetize so that you could make money (people actually make a living off of this!)

A great example would be “By Sophia Lee” (she also uses WordPress!)

She releases her blog income report every year where she made over $43,000 in just May of 2020!

The point that I am trying to get across is that blogging has potential…both as a passion and as a profession!

Universal Question: What were your thoughts when you first came across blogging and how has it changed over time?

Peace Out!!!

      2. Sure!

The purpose of the newsletter is so that we could contact those who signed up through email. It’s called email marketing! Every time I make a post, they get an email to read my post.

There are tons of things u could do with email marketing but I am restricted cuz u need the business plan for it on WordPress 😔
