Coronavirus: First Death In Tamil Nadu and India in the Spotlight

The troubling coronavirus is spreading across 185 or more countries around the world, making it extremely threatening. More than 422,566 people have been infected with the virus where 18,887 people have died without treatment.

As for the statistics in India, 11 people have died in India and a total of 536 people have been affected by the virus. Specifically in Tamil Nadu, the recent tally has added up to 26 people that have been infected and receiving treatment. The Government of Tamil Nadu continues to take serious measures to combat coronavirus infection on a timely basis.

Minister Vijayabaskar has announced on his Twitter page that a 54-year-old man who was treated in Madurai with coronavirus has died. This is the first sacrifice in Tamil Nadu due to the coronavirus. “We have made every effort possible,” he said. He went on stating that his health and his energy levels did not cooperate with the treatment on the midnight before his death. Along with the coronavirus, this man’s health condition already seemed to be at a critical condition where he initially had diabetes and hypertension.

Although this lifeless man was the first person to die from the virus, the Minister declared that he was the 12th patient in Tamil Nadu to receive it. His blood was tested the next day after he was admitted to a private hospital where his results tested positive. Unlike some of the patients, this man didn’t leave town lately but has instead contacted with a few tourists from Thailand who initially had the virus.
